Things to do in Wexford this Spring
With only a week to go before we re-open for 2024, we are busy putting the final touches to ensure everything will be perfect for our guests. 2024 promises to be an exciting year in Wexford as the town hosts Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2024 in August along with a many other arts, food and music festivals. Fortunately, we do not have to wait for Summer for great events here in Wexford! There are plenty of things to do in Wexford this Spring on a weekend break (or longer!).
Southeast Whiskey Festival
In it’s second year, the Southeast Whiskey Festival aims to showcase the provenance of both existing and new distilleries and highlight the positives and growth capabilities of the Whiskey sector. Highlights of the event include master classes, a history of Irish Whiskey tasting from 1974-2024 and 6 new distilleries who have come of age and also an opening evening event on Thursday 29th February, a leap year dinner event in Green Acres.
St Patrick’s Day & Bank Holiday Weekend
Always a weekend full of fun and celebration, St Patrick’s Day, March 17th, falls on Sunday in 2024. Parades will take palce across the County as well as many traditional music sessions. Easter
Escape to Wexford for the Easter break. There are easter egg hunts galore and just five minustes from Killiane Castle at the magnificent Johnstown Castle, there is a very special Easter Show happening in the ballroom!
Tallulah and the Long Haired-Hare from Liverpool, is an hilarious comedy for children aged 5 -11 years. The story is a retelling of the classic fable The Tortoise and the Hare, but with a twist!
